Bound form - Edit/Add both in one - Lookup old reocrd...insert new record

Hi,

I have a bound form. Primary Key is DONumber. It has 5 records
say:

D100001
D100002
D100003
D100004
D100005

If I enter D100004 (or any other) In DONumber field, I want to
directly goto that record. Right Now when I type D100004, it
overwrite the current value of the D.O. number and in last
display error msg of Duplicate record. I don't want to Use
Combo Box trick. Any trick to lookup already inserted record
just by typing Primary key. The form Should also support new
record addition.

Hope I clearly stated my query. Thanx for you prompt help.
