Hi:

Does Visio have the shape of a brace { or } or pair of braces { }that can be
selected to add to a drawing ? If so, where canI find them at ?

Can you not use the { and } themselves? You can make individual
characters within text of any size you like or you can put a text box
anywhere on a diagram with just the { or } as required. You could even
save these as shapes into a stencil.

If I use the actual keyboard characters, they are text.
If I change the font size they get thick.
I am looking for a graphic of the braces as in PowerPoint.

Any ideas ?

Open Paint, create a large text box, insert the character you require
at a large font size, save as a bitmap. 5 minutes of experimentation
should produce what you need.
