My sister is using Outlook 2003 with MS Word as her text editor. She sends
me an e-mail and it is fine - I reply and it is fine. Then, on the 3rd or
4th time she replies, a bracket appears on the left side of the screen. If I
respond after I see the bracket and she responds back, then the words at the
bottom of the screen get jumbled together. If I try to respond to that
e-mail with the jumbled words, my e-mail freezes, and end up having to reboot
my computer.
I don't have the problem with anyone else's e-mail. I have deleted her
Normal.dot template and re-opened Word, as I had read somewhere that the
template might be corrupted and doing that would create a new one. it does
create a new template, but we continue to see the problem.
She has run SpyBot, which tells her Microsoft Internet Security failed, but
we're not sure what that means. She has also re-installed Word, to no avail.
any suggestions?
