Brainstorming and import from Word

Hi

I can export a mindmap from Visio to Word and view the map in outline mode.

However, I am struggling to do the opposite. If I have created a mindmap in
outline mode in Word, how do I get it into Visio using the brainstorm import
function. I tried to save it in XML format but Visio does not seem to like
the format. Do I need an XSLT when saving the mindmap?

An idiots guide to doing this would be appreciated.

Not sure how and if cross posting is possible on Microsoft Discussion Groups.

The real issue is that mindmap appears to be an addon that is office (at
least as far as word and excel are concerned) aware and word may not be
aware of visio. Native xml schemas between visio and word are different
(although creating an xslt to translate them might work).

well, "Office" Professional does include Visio....

Figure MS would/should have thought about the reverse transform when
developing the forward Visio to Word transform...

actually last time I looked office professional does not include visio, it's
a separate product like project.
