Break Link to spreadsheet

I have an excel template that refreshes when the data file is overwritten but
need to stop refreshing once saved under another name for archive purpose.
How do you break the link with the data file once the work is over, so my
archived May report does not refresh once I update the data file with June
data...? Tks.
