Have two questions;
1
Have Been Using MS Briefcase for many years now. Carry my complete
database of files from a MS03 SB Server (over 27 GB of data,) to a XP Pro
Laptop and only recently started to have problems with the updating.. Been
getting random (file,) but similar errors stating the file is "read only" or
"in use" or HD drive is "not writable". I know the files are not just read
only, they are not in use the & HD is definitely writable.
1a: Could some the Briefcase’s data base have become corrupt? If so, is
there a way to globally correct it?
2 In Briefcase, what is the “make file of type†option exactly?
3 Lastly, is there a Briefcase update switch that can be set to globally
bring all files from any one side to the other? Sometimes the briefcase
update states that both files were modified and will skip these files
completely unless you manually go in and change the direction of the file
transfer.. It would be nice to set automate this process.
