Bring back Classic View of Outlook! Outlook 2003 View STINKS!

I really hate the "new improved" Outlook 2003 View. Waste of real estate. I
want my old Outlook view back. Quit presuming you'll know how I want to use
Outlook. At the VERY LEAST, give me the option to switch to the Outlook
Classic View. I use your products....I HAVE to...so the least you can do is
give me the option to use it the way I want to. This new view is way too busy
and I HATE with a passsion that stupid Navigation Pane...you should have
called it Navigation Pain, 'cause that's what it is...and I can't even
collapse it down to nothing. If I do, guess what....can't get back to any
other functions! Go figure...you had a good product but you just couldn't
leave it alone, could you!

You can probably pick up a copy of OL2002 on eBay.
Personally, I much prefer the OL2003 interface, and so do my users once I
show them the advantages. Yes, even the cranky Luddites among them. Try it.
You can indeed
"collapse" the navigation pane - drag the top bar down to the bottom so they
look like buttons, not bars. I do this by default during a profile setup. I
think perhaps some training & trial/error may change your mind about it.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'm happy that you've been able
to placate your cranky Luddites. I'll take your suggestion and look for
OL2002 on eBay.
Thank you.

You're most welcome. It took me a few days to get used to the new interface,
myself - and I'm no Luddite...now I much prefer it and find older versions
of Outlook frustrating. One's mileage may, as always, vary. ;-)

You can create your own shortcut bar by selecting only the SHORTCUTS group in
the Navigation Pane Options and uncheck all the rest. Then at the bottom of
the Shortcuts group is a link to "Add New Shortcut". You add each one
individually but only shortcuts to the folders you use and not necessarily to
all the folders. This creates only one group of buttons on the left.
