Bring back Words AutoSave function...AutoRecovery is a miserable/.

Please bring back Word's file AutoSave function. You use to be able to set a
timer that would automatically save the Word doc every xx minutes.

I have lost work numerous time because Word crashes and the AutoRecovery
simply fails work.

AutoSave is a simple and direct method for the end user to automatically
have their Word docs saved on the fly...BRING IT BACK PLEASE!

I am seriously considering going back to WordPerfect because of this problem.

I agree that it is rather strange that there isn't an AutoSave. However,
Word should not crash all the time either. You will probably gain more
trying to find out what is wrong with your installation that trying to get
MS reinstate a real AutoSave!

What I suggest is that you start by following the tips in the following FAQ:

Then make sure that you have the latest printer and graphics drivers for
your computer and make sure that all patches and updates are installed for
both Windows and Office.

If you still have problems with Word crashing, please come back for some
