broadcast presentation with ppt and video

i need to broadcast a powerpoint and video into more than one location. for
months i've been using the broadcast feature withing PPT 2003 and windows
media encoder for the video. i've never been able to get both of them
working within the presentation feature of ppt 2003.

After installing the Online Broadcast Add-on for PowerPoint 2003
(pptbcast.exe), I cannot get the broadcast to recognize the video camera.
Testing the Video settings under Broadcast Settings displays a dropdown list
for a Microsoft DV Camera only (using a Panasonic AG-DVC200). The test is
successful, but the screen is black. When starting the online broadcast, it
errors out with “PowerPoint could not connect to the Windows Media Encoder.
Press Retry to try again.†The details give “The Windows Media Encoder
returned the following error message to PowerPoint: No specified device
driver is present.. Please contact your system administrator for help
regarding this Windows Media Encoder error.â€

i've tried using a local windows media encoder, a remote encoder, windows
media server 2003, none of which are successful.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The problem is with your camera. Note that a digital video camera with an
IEEE 1394 port is not supported for broadcasting presentations.
