We are making online broadcasts using powerpoint 2002. The broadcasts are
recorded in an ASF file by our WMS (w2k). Our most recent broadcast
terminated abnormally in powerpoint. It did not present us with the normal
message asking if we wanted to replay the broadcast. On WMS, it still said
the broadcast was playing. As we tried to determine how to shut it down,
powerpoint terminated abnormally, forcing us to click on "Stop" in WMS, under
Multicast Stations/Multicast ASF Programs and Streams, I believe.
Now, we cannot replay this broadcast at all. When we launch the htm file,
the lobby page does not have a replay broadcast button. When we play the ASF
itself, we cannot change the time index - we have to watch it from beginning
to end. I believe it is not "seekable".
This is our biggest broadcast of the year, and we need to find some way to
save it. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas to repair this saved broadcast?
Thanks.
