Broken CD Disc 1

R

Roger

I was reloading MS Office when I heard a load noise from
my CD player. I found the MS Office cd broken in half.
How can I obtain a new one?

I have a similar problem, let me know what you hear. If I
find anything out I will email you as well. This is a
$500 program, I really don't feel like buying another one.

People,
With any MS program all you need to do is find a friend with the identical
version and ask them to burn a copy. Nothing on the CD ties it to a specific
Product Key. Any CD will work with your valid legal PK. Try your friends
original CD first using your PK, if you are unsure.
That said, you can pay MS(US$45, I hear) to replace it if you've got lots of
extra cash and a compelling need to spend it needlessly.

John

Hi Roger,

To obtain replacement CD-ROMs or manuals, contact the Microsoft
Replacement and Supplemental Parts Department at (800) 360-7561. For
numbers outside the US see: http://microsoft.com/worldwide

If your copy of Office was preinstalled in a computer or distributed
by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), you must contact the OEM
for a replacement.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
