Broken Custom Hover Buttons

Custom hover button created with FP2002 appears broken in
preview pane and browser. Workarounds of MS articles
Q323236 and Q817697 had been followed (preview only in a
browser and delete codebase="./" in html), but the
problem is still not resolved.

Warning! Previously good custom hover buttons, created
with FP2000 (not FP2002) in a published Internet web,
would turn broken after the web page has been opened LIVE
by FP2002!

Since I've heard the new FP2003 is having the same
problem, I don't think MS has a patch for the problem.

Any one can help?

We don't use hover buttons any more because they are not supported in all
browsers, especially IE. That's because they are JAVA, not java script.
Find another way!
