Broken image links

I Insert eps pictures into PowerPoint X using the insert command, and when
I reopen the presentation on the Mac on which I am working, another Mac in
the office, or on a PC in the office (all three from the same file in the same
folder on the server), the images are gone and there are red X's in their
place. The help files say that as to do with web page links, but I am not
working on or with web pages.

Is there any way to check links in PowerPoint? How about being sure I won't
lose the links? Inserting files into a slide is supposed to embed them, but
obviously that is not happening. I used PowerPoint a long time ago and
never had this problem. We are sending these files to clients off site, and
they are not getting the pictures either.

Someone suggested I use jpg instead of eps, but the file quality is so much
less with jpg.

Any ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
