Broken Timesheet Template???

InfoPath 2003 SP1 on XP SP2... started with detailed timesheet
template... added overtime from data source... the field doesn't
calculate! What gives??? I have not been able to create a formula
containing fields to this point that works. However, if my formula is
1+1, for example, it works. But, replace one of the static 1s with a
field (try to add 1 to a field) and it nothing happens... no errors.
Ideas?
