Hi,

'Browse By Page' Doesn't Show The Entire Page

I've got 'Zoom' set to Whole Page (70%)
I've got 'Select Browse Object' as 'browse by page'. I would like to see the
whole page, but what happens is that on each click of the double arrows,
whether on the ones pointed down, or up, the window shows the whole page
with the window just below the last line of text on the page. What I want
to see is the whole page with background blue showing so I can see exactly
where the page ends on all four edges. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks, Rafael

I don't think there's any way to control the Pg Up/Dn behavior. Every
version I've used - PC or Mac - works the same way. Why I don't know, unless
it's related to the fact that there are really no "pages" in a Word
document's structure and/or that most document reviewers prefer to be able
to follow the flow of the content from one page to the next.

If you truly need to view the document that way I'd suggest you use Print
Preview. It provides full editing capability if you click the Magnifier
button to turn off the Zoom magnifying glass. The only imitation is that the
toolbars aren't available.

There is no alternative for the color.

Hi Rafael:

Bob's correct, there is no way to change this from the user interface. The
default is "Next Screenful".

Since you are in Word 2004, you can fix it with VBA if you are prepared to
hack a bit of code.

The syntax is here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb212953.aspx

The target you are after is wdBrowsePage

Make yourself a macro to do that, and then use Tools>Customise to replace
the PageDown command with your macro.

Enjoy :)
