I have a frames based disccusion board which either loads w/ great delay or
freezes the systems when IE is used, but not when loaded into Firefox.
This problem was posted 10/7 and y'all let me know that the page was "too
big", but that's not what I asked... as the page has ALWAYS BEEN this big
(the board been around and w/ a contents page of similar size for >four
years,) but only recently has the behavior seen now, occurred.
My suspicion is that recent security updates to IE have prompted the
problem, as I'm aware that some of these updates have caused conflict with
othe MS based/generated code -as has been reported.
So, I would appreciate if a second look could be taken at my site:
www.boltonhill.org/bulboard/old_index.html with both Firefox and IE and
provide fieedback of why this has occured during the month of september '05,
and not before, and what can be done to fix this.
The answer "breaking it up in to more child webs" as some MVP have
suggested, is half an answer.... because how this is done and still
maintaining a user functionality and interface with the childwebs (as a
single bulletin board) isn't described......????
