Browser enabled form/ SQL Query

I am a newbie here and I hope to get a good direction on what needs to be
done here and I am nervous lol... Ok, i have a browser enabled form that will
need to do queries from the Sql DB. What is the best practice because most
of it will just be retrieving information. I hope there is not a lot of
coding involved. Thanks for your time.

RJ:

I think you need to start by creating a data connection library in the
sharepoint site and then create a data connection (have no idea how this is
done). if you don't do this, i am pretty sure you will always get the cross
domain security warning (if it will allow the form to open at all). then
create a new form based on a SQL connection instead of a "Blank Form"

Don't think you need any special code, just some searching on Data
Connection Libraries and files.

Hope this gets you going in the right direction.

P.S.
I found a fairly good book on InfoPath called "Designing Forms for Microsoft
Office InfoPath and Form Services 2007"
ISBN: 978-0-321-41059-7

I will certainly try those, however I hope that the sql template that you
would have to use the layout and those buttons provided in template and just
use those data connections and it would autopopulate based on field syntax/fx
