Hi there,
When I try to access my organization's Office Project Web Access portal,
and I browse to the "Project Center", on the right hand side of the screen,
instead of seeing the grid/gant chart I see "To view this grid, you must have
a newer version of the Project Web Access ActiveX Control installed. Click
here to download it."
If I click the link, I get a pop up prompting me: "Do you want to install
this software? Name: pjcintl.cap Publisher: Microsoft Corporation". I have
the options Install and Don't Install. Regardless of which button I push, I
see the thinking cursor spin for a few seconds, then my IE browser and all
tabs lock up. I have to go into the task manager to kill the process to get
rid of it.
I'm running Windows XP, fully patched wiht IE8. MS Office 2007, fully
patched. I also have VS2008 team suite, and Expression Studio 3 installed and
patched.
I've left the browser hung over night, and seen no change in the morning.
I've tried uninstalling Office, and still the same result.
Any ideas on how to track down this issue?
Thanks,
-Rick
