Browser Redirects to Home Page when clicking Tasks/Project/Resource

This is regarding the PWA application which we have on our Live
Servers

We are not able to navigate through PWA as all the links are
redirected to the home page.

At times it does not give any error or message and just redirects to
the homepage where as couple of times it gave a Runtime Error as
RecordCount Not found Error

Eg:- If a user tries to click on any of the tabs Task, Projects,
Resources, PWA loads the respective page but the data is not loaded in
the grid Control and then it redirects back to the home page.

If a user uses the server name(ind-mhp1@@@@@) instead of the URL
name(https://oneviewmsp.mastek.com/projectserver) to connect to the
ProjectServer website it works fine where as if it uses the URL the
above error is encountered.

Also when anyone clicks on the Resource Tab he gets the following
error:

"an error occured while trying to access the resources stored on the
database. Either there are too many resources, or the project server
may not have the correct DSN configuration"

Could anyone help in this regard.

What version of MDAC do you have on your PCs? It should be 2.8

Amit,

There are three things you can try
1) As Rod suggested re-install MDAC
2) Re-install Active X controls (Remove Active X controls and Re-register)
3) Use EDIT site tool link below and reset the connection sometimes
resetting the DSN connection solves the issue you mentioned above.

Hi Gaurav

Thanks for ur reply. We did all the steps mentioned by you , but still
the problem persists.

However please note interesting facts abt this problem
1) After Office hours, suddenly the users reporting the problem where
able to access the Tasks page.
2) On the Server machine if we try to access , it works perfectly
fine.
3) WIth Machine name some people are able to access the Page.
4) Some clients not at all report this problem.

Symptoms:
On the tasks page we see the loading icon for 2-3 minutes and then
this error comes.THere is javascript error as "Object does not
support this property or method" on the TasksPage.asp page.

We are ahving the same problem and have tried everything listed below but
still no success? We even upgraded to IE 7 withno luck. Any other ideas? I
can log into another computer and it works fine for that user or I can log
into that computer as another user with no success.

Lynn,
Completely remove the activeX controls and re-install it.
