Browsing to open or attach files

Within office 2000 apllications, when I go to open or
insert a file via the open or insert file the window
browser hangs for about 1 minute before eventually
choosing the destination folder.

I am using 2000 Professional SP4 and Office 2000 SP3

When I browse through my directory structure using my
computer or windows explorer there is no problem.

Any ideas

I'm having the same problem with Office 97 on a 2000 computer. Please, if
you find anything out, let me know.
