Buffer Overrun

I am getting the following error message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
"Program:...Files\Microsoft Office 2000\Office|Outlook.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's
internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be
terminated."
This occurs after launching Outlook and trying to check mail. I have
performed a "Detect and Repair" to correct the problem but it persists.
Can anyone offer a solution?

Disable all your add-ins and try again.
