Bug in Word v.X

I have inadvertantly removed the "Add Item to Work Menu" menu item
from the "Work" menu in an effort to rid myself of the minus pointer
conventionally used to remove items from the Work menu.
It is possible to replace it through Tools->Customize, but it seems to
be yet another tribute to M$'s apparent failure to debug.
I'm somewhat curious as to whether or not anybody else has experienced
this problem.
And I thought not being able to draw a straight vertical line in their
organization chart app was bad...

This is not a bug...

CMD-OPT-Minus is the Customize Remove Menu shortcut used to remove
*ANY* item from *ANY* menu. Why would you expect it to work
differently just for the "Add to Work Menu" item?

If you've inadvertently pressed CMD-OPT-Minus, you can escape the
function by pressing ESC.
And I thought not being able to draw a straight vertical line in their
organization chart app was bad...

Have you tried using the vertical line tool?

I sit corrected
I just wish that the _free_ documentation was better and that MS had
chosen something of a less exorbitant fee for the <air quotes> premium
documentation :(
Thanks
