BUG: ODBC Driver Incorrectly Shows Linked Data as #DELETED

S

Sing Kingdavong

I have Access 2000 linked table to SQL 2000, and everytime I open or query the Linked table(s), the result displayed #Deleted.

I have read this Q article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;248602, but it seems like MS didn't specify the fixed.

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

My workstation running Windows 2000 and Office 2000. I checked the SQL Server ODBC version, it was 2000.81.9031.38 and dated 03/11/2003

Please help.

But that may not be the reason.

Have a look at

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;244872
or
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;253837
or
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;321901

and that's just with a cursory look at kb . . . .

Thank you JohnFol. The links below fixed 99% of my problem and the other 1%, I have to disconnected the link and relink the tables to get it working.

Again thanks.

Generally, in my experience you would have to change your direct queries to a pass thru queries. That always works.
It is not a bug and do not have "fixes". The data types and internal data representation are rather different in Access and SQL server.
