Hi Alvin
I would really appreciate if you can help me understand this.
Please consider the below scenario
I have an OWC XP Pivot table in an asp page connecting to an olap cube. I have two dimensions (dimA, dimB) and a total. I dropped one dimension dimA (containing four values T1, T2, T3, T4) in the filter area. I checked T1 and unchecked the T2,T3,T4 and dragged the totals in the totals area. I dropped the dimB on the row area. The dimB contains a total of 400 members but as the filter is set to T1 in dimA, the pivot table shows only 100 members which looks fine.
The problem is, when i click the little filter-drop-down arrow on the dimB, i see the complete list of 400 members checked, although the pivot table shows only 100. Our users want the same 100 members to appear in the drop-down list too as shown in the pivottable according to the filter applied, so that it becomes easier for them to uncheck some more from that 100 if they want to.
Now, I am confused whether this is a BUG in OWC or an intended feature. If it is an intended feature, then what is the logic behind this. Is it possible to programatically hide these extra 300 members from the dimB drop-down list?
Thanks
Rabban
