I’m running Outlook 2003 and I am using Word 2003 as my email editor. I’ve
set Word to use the “Blue background, white text†setting found under
Options/General in Word 2003, as I find it really easy on the eyes.
I also have a default signature that I use on all outgoing email set in
Outlook under Settings/Post format.
However, there is a problem when using the blue background in combination
with replying to HTML messages, while signatures are enabled in Outlook 2003.
When replying to a mail in HTML-format that is not using a background image,
the signature is simply invisible. It turns out that the signature is
actually there, but it is being shown in the same blue colour as the
background is in. This essentially makes it invisible when replying to a mail
in HTML-format. And you can’t even give the signature its correct text colour
by highlighting the invisible text and choosing “automatic text coloringâ€.
I really hope this can be addressed in an upcoming update!
Thanks,

PS. Sorry if the menu names/titles given above are not quite correct, but
I’m using a localized version of Office and have tried to guesstimate what
the menu names would be called in English.
