Bug With Footer in PPT08?

Can someone else reproduce this?

1. Open a presentation or create a new one.
2. Choose View > Master > Slide Master
3. Type some text into the footer box of the slide master. (I was using the title slide.)
4. Select the text.
5. Cmd-C to copy the text will crash PowerPoint 08 for me every time.
