bug?

I am having some trouble when I open Outlook.
First it says that my bussiness contacts are not available asking if I want
to work offline. For the longest time I just clicked no.
Now it says that a file did not properly open and it shuts down automatically.
I am using 2007, have Spybot in the backgroung and use avast antivirus whcih
scans the email.
I noticed that when I shut these two down my application opens just fine.
It never used todo that.
Another application that I installed and later uninstalled was the Steady
State because it took just way to long for my system to start and work.
Any help out there?

You don’t need to scan email. I would disable that feature - you do need
antivirus running on 'autoprotect' though. Personally, I would dump spybot
too.
