bugs in multilevel list styles

I have come across what appears to be a bug in a few of the multilevel list
styles in Word 2007 Beta 2 TR.

The issue is that a few of the list styles do not function as multilevel
lists...or lists at all really. Pressing the Enter key while in a list should
continue the numbering. In the following lists, it does not. The lists with
this problem look like:

I. Heading1, A. Heading2, 1. Heading3, a) Heading4, (1) Heading5

Chapter 1, etc

1. Heading 1, 1.1 Heading2, 1.1.1 Heading3, etc (In this one, the numbering
will work on levels 2-9, but the Heading2, Heading3, etc format is not
applied to the other levels) To use this, you must first type in a few lines,
then select them and choose this list from the menu. Otherwise, you never get
the second level...because entering on the

I have also experienced instances where a list forces itself to be on a new
page (like adding a page break). I can't figure out how to re-create this in
a way that will make sense in a newsgroup post though.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?SmFydmlz?=,

I think the issue here is the setting for the "Style for following paragraph".
The built-in Heading styles usually have this set to "Normal". This means
pressing ENTER at the end of a paragraph formatted with a Heading style
automatically formats the next paragraph with the "Normal" style - and thus no
numbering.

Try switching to the Outline view and see if the behavior there is more like you
expect.
