Buidling plan - Two line walls

I am doing some plans and I seem to be a bit haphazard in the way my walls
meet. Ideally I want the fill to merge from one to the next - but sometimes
I get an 'end' line preventing the fill from merging. I can sometimes fix
this by flipping the wall on its ref line and then back again.

Any ideas on what I should do to always merge the fill at intersections?

Which version of Visio? I know in V2007, haphazard or not, Visio fills in
the corners. But, a recommended procedure would be:
1.) Decide if you want the wall dimensions to be the interior lengths or
exterior lengths.
2.) If interior, always place the walls such that the connection points
(and the "line") are inside of the shape.
3.) If exterior, do just the opposite.

The reasons for this:
1.) The dimensions will represent what you've measured or what you want to
know
2.) Visio adjusts the lengths to either add or subtract the wall widths and
can give you undesired results.
