Building block re-use

Hi,

If I create text and define those as building block in Word, is it then
possible to fetch the block via VBA and past them into a template based on
options the user (for example via a check box) has made? Or is it better to
use XML to do this? Any experience or suggestions?

You can indeed use VBA to retrieve building blocks, provided you know which
file they're stored in, and what category and name they have.

In the VBA help, look up the topic "Working with Building Blocks". Also
visit http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Word2007_Building_Blocks_&_AutoText.htm for
useful examples.
