I've been exploring properties. It seems a bit confusing.
There are built-in properties for DAO objects.
Run-time properties for forms and reports.
User-defined properties that are defined but not part of the properties
collection. These can be added with code or by selecting an option from a
menu. (How do you know which are defined in case you would like to add some
of them)
Now there are also custom database properties which can be uniquely defined
by a user and used to store information in a database. These were never
defined in Access of coarse.
All the information I have learned about properties has been piece meal and
some it contradictory.
The terms User-defined properties and custom properties are used
interchangeably. ... but are at least two kinds of custom (or user-defined)
properties.
Some articles call user-defined properties that are defined but not part of
the properties collection, by the nomenclature CUSTOM properties and some
article call them user-defined properties.
Some article call the unique properties that users can add, user-defined
properties and some article call them custom properties.
Does anyone know if there exists any definitive authoritative documentation
or article(s) on all the various types of properties in Access or at least an
accurate definition of the types of user-defined properties?
Thank you
