Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Power PC I am unable to figure out how to pick several files using Import>Picture into a presentation - I have 23 tiff files and I am trying to import all of them using the 'click the first - last while holding the shift or other key" this seems like it would be a basic function - any ideas?

Hi,

The Insert Picture feature lets you insert only one picture at a time.

It is possible to make a VBA add-in, or to purchase one that imports
more than one picture at a time. Details are here:

Jim,

Thank you so much for the simple and quick reply. I dug around in some help menus and found nothing that was simply put. I am by no means an app engineer, but I would think that having such a simple option that would allow easier file inserts into a PP presentation would be a valuable asset. I had 23 tiff files that required me to create a new slide, navigate down to format insert > picture > from file and select the individual file - a time consuming but more frustrating procedure to carry out a repetitive task. I don't know if the new PP editions make any changes to this or other seeming-less tasks - but I do wonder if instead of investing in the new MS Office Suite if it would be wise to delve into the Apple suite of similar applications - your thoughts? My novice assumption is that the two suites (Apple & MS) are cross compatible with basically no limitations in exchanging documents from Mac to PC. Thanks again -

Not such a good assumption, I'm afraid.

Not even PPT Mac and PPT Windows are without limitations in exchanging
documents.

If you're a stand-alone operation and don't need to exchange documents
with others, or if your documents are very very simply formatted, pick
whichever suite has the price and mix of features that appeals to you.

If you need to exchange files seamlessly with others (at least as much
as possible) I'd stick with Office.

> Thanks again for your insight - as much as I love my Mac and would like to work myself away from all things MS - it seems that the juggernaut does have its place and necessity in the Mac environment. Good advice and I'll stick with Office - You are very helpful and timely in your responses and I appreciate that very much.
