bullet crashes the document

I am using Word 2002. Whenever I "bullet" a piece of text or a group of
texts, the document will crash, then debug, then close Word and then resart.

It is frustrating!

Any pointers for fixing it is greatly appreciated.

The application error message is

The instruction at "0x303292c5" referenced memory at "0x00000006". The
memory could not be "read".

It is hard to say what might be causing this, but the usual suspects are
template corruption (rename normal.dot to oldnormal.dot) interference by
add-ins (start Word with the command winword /a and see if there's an
improvement) and the actions of the inevitable clutter of abandoned
temporary files that the crashes will have caused, so try spring cleaning as
