Haven't used Data Outline, so I can't comment on that...
Have you tried using high ascii characters.
Charmap, an accessory in windows, displays all 256 charcters in a font.
For example... in Arial, Chr(149) yields an "."
You can also get it by holding down the Alt key as you type 0149.
On a report...
= Chr(149) & " Topic 1
would display
. Topic 1
Also, Dixieland, Wingdings 1/2/3, etc... have many characters that you
might find useful. Wingdings 1 has circles with numbers in them... that
might be something you could use for bullets.
Also, you can increase the font size to enlarge any character...
