Bulleted list formatting not saved when document saved

I am having a problem with bulletted lists in a longish (65 page) document.
The hanging indent that I specify in the style definintion resets itself to
(none) whenever I close and re-open the document. I've defined the style as
"List Bullet" (also List Bullet 2 for nested lists), and the style is
defined in the document template. But for some reason, it's not 'sticking'.

Did you set the indents in the Paragraph dialog or the Numbering dialog?
Those in the Numbering dialog override those in the Paragraph dialog. See
