I recently upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003. I
mostly create outlines using Word.
Something has changed since switching to Word 2003,
however.
Whenever I insert an ouline into Word (Format > Bullets
and Numbering > Outline Numbered) I get a Roman numeral
(I.), just as I always have. After entering my information
after the Roman numeral and hitting enter, Word
automatically moves to Roman numeral two (II.)--just like
always. However, when I press the tab key, Word leaves the
Roman numeral (II.) in place and tabs over rather than
moving on to the next sub-level--in my case, capital
letters (A.).
I can't get Word to move to the next sub-level using the
tab key, which is the only way I know how to do it. I'm
using the "Outline Numbered" section, not "Numbered," so
that's not the problem. My outline is set up to produce
the following results: I. A. 1. a. (1) (a) and so on. I
didn't have this problem before switching to Word 2003.
Can someone suggest me on this?
Thanks in advance
