bullets, autoformating

I have turned off all auntoformat options that I can find. I am trying to make bulleted list that is directly under the previous text, with no additional spaces. When I initially type the bulleted text, it is formated just how I want it to be, with no spacing between the lines. However, if I go back and changed the text in any way, then a space is automatically added between the previous text and the first line of the bulleted text. I can't figure out how to get rid of this autoformating.

On my old PC there was an option under edit called "undo autoformat." I liked that. In addition to my initial question, is there anything like "undo autoformat" on my mac?

Command + z would undo autoformatting (or anything else) if it WERE
autoformatting. It's not :)

Line spacing is a paragraph property.

There should be 10 points of space below each paragraph if that paragraph is
formatted with the Normal style.

If you apply the List Bullet style, it will initially inherit the same
settings (because every style initially inherits from Normal style).

If you then use Format>Style... To change the setting of List Bullet to have
only five points spacing below, you will get the appearance you are seeking.

And then, every time you want it, simply apply List Bullet style :)

Cheers
