Bullets - crushing error

A

Agustin Pimstein

Since some days ago, when I want to insert bullets word crushes. I
re-installed the complete office suit and erase the last security updates but
it still happening. A strange thing is that this problem is not
consistent...after that it crushed sometimes, suddenly can start working
correct.

I'm using Office 2003 in VISTA.

I would really appreciate any help in this that is driving me crazy.

Try this: Exit Word, and then delete the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\List Gallery Presets.

In my registry editor only appears a REG_SZ with no name (Default) in the
Word folder...this is the one that I should erase ?? In the Word folder,
there is a subfolder called "InstallRoot"... there are two more REG_SZ , one
with no name (Default) and another called "Path"..maybe I should delete one
of those?

Thanks!

Have you tried searching for List Gallery Presets in the registry editor?

The resul from the search is the following:

(Default) REG_SZ
Data 1 REG_BINARY
Data 2 REG_BINARY
Data 3 REG_BINARY
Data 4 REG_BINARY
Data 5 REG_BINARY
Data 6 REG_BINARY
Picture Bullets REG_BINARY

Should I erase the last one??

Yes....now I realized that all those files or registries are located
precisely in a folder called "List Gallery Presets" in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\

Those are the one that I should erase??

Thanks a lot for your patience!!

Yes, delete the whole List Gallery Presets key, with Word closed, and see if
that makes a difference.

Now I erased the folder, and it seems that is working correctly...I hope that
it will stay like that.

Thanks a lot!!!
