Bullets don't show in jpg or gif version

I created a flowchart with annotations; each annotation has several bulleted
points (set up using the bullet function for the text box). It looks great in
Visio, but when I save the file as a jpg or gif, the bullets don't show up.
Is there any way to make them appear?

I'm using Visio 2000.
