Bullets no longer work the same after adding updates

When typing a list using bullets you would press the tab
key and the symbol would change and indent -- this is
longer working since I installed an Office update.

This is horrible. The only way to get the symbol to
change and indent correctly is to use the indent on the
toolbar which requires me to go to the mouse, click the
button and then return to the keyboard instead of just
pressing tab. For a typist this is horrible.

Any help out there please. I use bullets all the time.

Tools>Autocorrect Options>AutoFormat As You Type, check the box against Set
left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces.
