bullets

I've read the posts about Publisher compatibility issues between IE and
Firefox, but haven't found anything about this particular problem.

Can anyone tell me why bullet points in text lists that look solid and
well-rounded in IE 6 and 7, are barely visible specks in Firefox? The text
was typed into text boxes in Publisher 2003, using the Bullets and Numbering
command in the Format menu to set up the bullets.

I've tried saving as Unicode, Western European ISO and Western European
Windows, but it doesn't make any difference. My website is www.atnyc.us

Thank you.

Aggravating isn't it? I don't mean to make light of your situation, but
Publisher produces "sophisticated" code for use in IE, and "dumber" code for
all other browsers. This results in issues such as yours.

As far as a workaround, I have had problems with bullets in general. I have
sometimes skipped the bulleting formatting, and just inserted a symbol in
front of the text I want to bullet. That is a bit of a pain, but if you find
a symbol that will display, you can work up a pretty decent looking bulleted
list. I have tried symbols within the font, and also inserted a windings
symbol...can't say for sure what would work for you.

Good luck...

Thank you David.

It is aggravating, but I was taking a look at a trial version of Dreamweaver
recently and was completely baffled by it. So I guess I'd better stick with
Publisher and accept its oddities.

With convenience, comes tradeoffs...

If it makes you feel any better, anyone that looks at your bulleted list in
FF, probably won't realize that the bullets are undersized. At least your
site is working pretty well in FF, and some Pub files don't.
