Manually. Don't try to use the automatic bullet feature. Just use Insert
Symbol to insert the type of bullet you want (I have Ctrl+Shift+B assigned
to a simple round bullet that appears in every font), then tab to a tab stop
or indent you have set, type your text, tab again, insert another bullet,
tab again, and type more text. I emphasize that you should set custom tab
stops for all these tabs; don't rely on the built-in ones.
