No: This problem is specific to the document itself. It has nothing to do
with the Word software, it is a setting in the document.
One of the reasons re-installing has no effect on the Mac
To fix this, use Format>Style>Modify... Choose the List Bullet style.
Then Choose Modify>Numbering...
Then Choose Customise and set the font of the bullets to one that you do
have on your computer (it is probably already correct, you should not need
to change it).
Then apply that style to each set of bulleted paragraphs.
By creating a style, you get consistent bullets throughout the document, and
you can change them all by making the change in one place by modifying the
style.
What has happened is that somehow the List Template inside the document,
which controls the bullets formatting, has been changed. We do not know how
or where. If you use Style formatting for bullets and numbering, this is
much less likely to happen, and you can fix it instantly if it does.
Cheers
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Why don't my bullets work? I re-installed Word on my computer, but now the
bullets show up on screen as a square, but they don't print at all. Is this an
internal problem?
