Bumping down containers

Rookie here so please bear with me. So far, I like Onenote. When I add info
to a page, like an email link, I would like it to bump containers down so
that they appear in a specific order. Is there a way to insert a container
within a page and have it bump everything below it?

Alaso, any way to have all of your text containers default to a specific
margin? Thanks

You can always use, Insert>>Extra Writing Space. It pushes the containers
down when inserted above the container.

Excellent. That is exactly what I was trying to do. That keeps all the
formatting together and allows me to add additional items quickly. Thanks for
the response.

Michael, do you know how to do part 2? Can I grab multiple containers
(Control+Click) and align them or justify them so they are neatly aligned?

I have no idea how you'd do that. I'm not sure its possible within the
program...unless some powertoy does it.

Try creating a template. Set the options in "Page Setup" to the paper size
and margin sizes you want. Then create a text box by typing some kind of
placeholder text in it and then dragging the text box to the width of the
screen. Or you can just type one line of placeholder text all the way across
the screen until it wraps to the second line.

Then, if you set the template as the default, every new page will have a
text box of that width, with the margins you created.

The only problem is, if you insert a table into the text box, it will
violate the margins you set and extend beyond the page.

I hope you get usable results.
