Burning PP to DVD

Is it possible to burn a PP presentation to a DVD and have it come out
complete with music etc ? I would like to do so because the
presentation itself with music is too large to send.

I thought perhaps the answer would be to just make a DVD that they
could run on their computer, or in a player, and watch the PPP. I
have Creator 8 but find it won't pick up the PP file for some reason.

I sent it out to them through YouSendIt but it was too large for their
computers to download at the other end, they just froze. After all
the effort to get the music running correctly etc. - it was really
quite ironic

Maybe (again) there is just a simple route I am not seeing here. I
also have Nero but it doesn't seem to want to do it either.

Hi, Sheena,

There are a number of ways to go about creating a DVD of a PPT file, but
none of them is really painless. The other responses pointed you to the PPT
FAQ entry that should get you going.

That said, you can also google for PowerPoint to DVD, and you'll turn up a
number of utilities to do this kind of conversion. They all have trial
versions, and I strongly strongly strongly recommend you try the application
on your specific file before you buy. It seems they do a great job on some
files and not so great a job on others.

I did have a try with the free trial but it wound up freezing my
computer, so I decided against it.

Having read the other things there, I found I was able to make one
using Nero, it's not the greatest but everything is there.

Just a relief to have finally found the necessary paths on both music
and DVD !

hi, i'm jumping in to ask a ??
i also have nero, and am trying to burn a dvd of a ppp of vacation pictures.
i'd like it to play on my tv dvd player. so far it hasn't worked. it will
take pictures from my pictures and burn them to a cd-rom, but not from pp.
so, i'm not sure if the problem is my tv dvd player, or how i'm making the
dvd's.
what did you do that worked. did it play on your tv, or computer? thanks!! rmh
