Bus Contact Manager will not work after I change user from Admini.

The help file states I have to allow access to the Business Contact Manager
in the System users in the Control Panel.

I did add the user to the Business contact manager, but Outlook still tells
me that the database engine can not be found.

If I change the user back to Administrator, everything works fine.

For some reason, adding the Power User to the Bus Con Manager rights is just
not working like the help file states.

Any suggestions?

If you install BCM as admin and then run Outlook as a regular user and
create a database things work.

If you create a database as a user in the admin group and then remove
the user from the admin group, SQL Server will not recognize you as the
user that created the database.

SQL Server has peculiarities like that and doesn't play well with NT.
Another security best practices problem you may run into:
SQL docs recommend not running the server as an administrator. However,
if you go to the services dialog and change the SQL Server logon to
another user, your server will get hosed and no one will be able to
login to their databases.

SQL Server is a bit schitzo in that regard. On the one hand Microsoft
would like everyone to use their database product, while on the other
SQL Server expect users to take special classes, learn the secret
handshakes, and get intiated into fraternal order of SQL DBAs.
