Business Cards: on a 10 card sheet, please 5 different cards, 2 a.

Id cards can be made easily through Publisher and a 10 Card sheet. Inserting
a picture is also easy. But the printer can only print 10 of the same cards
at the moment. But with a little programming, the printer can print 2 of the
same card at a time. Then you have one to give to the person and one for a
spare incase the id card gets lost.

In Publisher 2001 I was able to individually select which business card or
label to print on a page without printing the entire page. I do not see this
option in Publisher 2003. Does anyone know if it still available? It allows
you to print a sample or test card before printing the entire sheet.

There has never been a 2001 Publisher. Nor could you print a selected area. You
can print one card per page, it will be centered on the page. In the page setup,
click change copies per sheet, check "Print one copy per sheet."

If you want to test the look of your card without it being centered on the page
or altering your print setup on the original:

Setup a manual page.
Arrange the margins:

..75 left and right
..05 top and bottom
grid guides tab
5 rows (no spacing)
2 columns (no spacing)

Copy your card and paste it into this setup and print your test.

I found my own answer, thank you. On my previous computer I had a program
called MS Picture It! Publishing 2001. (Works Suite) It did indeed allow you
to select the very cards or labels to print with a check mark or you could
select all. It is a very convenient and beneficial feature that I wish were
carried over to the new Publisher programs. I will be careful to maintain
this program because I don't believe it is supported, or offered any longer.
Thank you.

Picture It!Publishing is a completely different critter from Publisher.
