Business cards

G

Gracie

I want to print out a 4x6 size of my business card that I did in Publisher.
I want to frame it and use it for display purposes. Can this be done? Many
thanks.

Yes, it could be done.

Oh, you want to know *how* to do it? Well, first, the proportions are not
the same. A standard business card is 2" x 3½". If you doubled the size you
would need a 4" x 7" card. You're going to have to compromise. Plus it's not
a simple tweak. Depending on the card's design you may have a bit of work
ahead of you. Do you really want to do this?

You know the easiest way would be to run it thru a printer and just enlarge
the design by 170%.

If that is a printer setting (170%) not all printers can adjust the size.

I was thinking a copier, not a printer.

Sounds right. Also, if one used the print to pdf it could resize it.

That is a great option - and the easiest of any other. :)

I know this subject is a little old but just wanted to add in case others
came across it.
Another way would probably be to save the card as a .jpg and open it in a
photo editor and resize. Programs suck as acdsee give option in the resize
menu that help novice users like myself keep the quility of the image.
Meaning when you resize the original to a larger size it will not get blurry
or pixelated. You can also add tinker with other options or even add a border
if you like.
