Business Contact Manager - error not supporting exhange accounts

I get the following error: The Business Contact Manager database has been
removed from this profile because this version of BCM does not support
Microsoft Exchange server e-mail acconts. Please use a profile that does not
contain an Exchange Server e-mail account. I have downloaded and installed
the BCM patch, it works for the administrator account but not for the user
account. This has always worked without any problems, we are just setting up
a new computer. What can I do?

Hi,
Here you are facing 2 issues:

1. You are getting an error that "The Business Contact Manager database has
been removed from this profile because this version of BCM does not support
Microsoft Exchange server e-mail acconts. Please use a profile that does not
contain an Exchange Server e-mail account."

Microsoft officially does not support using BCM with an Outlook profile that
includes an Exchange account, unless that account is on a Small Business
Server 2003 machine and you have installed the corresponding patch for BCM
from http://support.microsoft.com/?id=831747

2. It works for the administrator account but not for the user account.

In order to associate a BCM database to the Outlook profile, the user id for
the machine should either be an administrator or should be a member of the
BCMUsers group. While adding the user-id to the BCMUsers group, you should
add your id as
domain\user-id. In the "Select Users, Computers or Groups" dialog window,
there is "Check Names" button which should be clicked to verify that the
user-id is correct.

Hope this solves your problem.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank-you for your response. The problem I am having is because the user
has a business contact manager database set up on another computer and you
can only have one with exchange server. I am going to have to wait until he
is off that computer to set up a new database and import the information from
the current one.
