Business Contact Manger unable to initialize form in Outlook 2003

Mike

I installed Office Pro for Biz 2003 including the Business Contact Manager
and transferred several of my contacts in this area. I can see them as a
group but I cannot open up any of them individually. I get the message seen
in the Subject line above. I used a modified contact form in Outlook 2002
and I am wondering if I have to import this form into a special directory in
Outlook 2003. Has anyone run into this problem? And fixed it?

Hi Mike

Hey i did search for that error and the solution was to check if Business
tool were present coz the message was coming up when opening Buisness
contacts.Dont know if you are facing the smae issue but if that is the case
then go to help About Outlook > disabled items and check if you have Bcm
listed under the same and enable the same.

Even though this post is several months old, I found it to be very useful. I
too had the same problem. All of a sudden clicking on a Business contact
generated the "...unable to initialize this form" error message. After
downloading much needed updates, the form still would not appear. Once I
searched, found this post and followed the instructions, the form returned.
Thank you very much.

Great solution. However I tried it and it did not work until I shutdown
Outlook and restarted it. Just a tip for others out there to not say "Ok,
that wasn't it."

I just installed a Lexmark 4800 printer, copier, scanner software on my
computer. It hooked up fine and I am able to print wireless. However now my
Outlook is unable to open and here are the error messages I get.

1) “Business Contact Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.â€â€¦yea, me too!
2) “Outlook failed to start correctly last time. Starting Outlook in safe
mode will help isolate or correct start up problem…â€
3) “Business Contact Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.â€
4) “Would you like to start Detect and rapair?†Yes.
5) It then says that I need to put in my CD for Microsoft Professional
Edition 2003. I proceed to do this and nothing changes. I have the same
error. My Outlook will not open and I keep on getting the same message to
“configure Microsoft Professional Edition 2003†every time I try to Open
Outlook.

Can anyone help me get my Outlook back working again?

Perhaps Lexmark installed some utility to make it easier to print from
Outlook or scan directly into an email message?
